Belleforte Designer Custom Home

This 4,800 square foot designer custom home was built to accommodate contemporary aesthetics while still fitting in the traditional Oak Park area architectural landscape. It features a large open floor plan and detailed custom work including cabinetry, counters, staircase and fireplace.

Maple Place Luxury Condominium Development

Built on the site of a former neighborhood grocery store parking lot, this five-story luxury condominium development was originally envisioned as a 14-unit building. It turned out to be 11 units as Altierra worked with multiple design teams and homeowners to combine and customize units. Residences at Maple Place is one of the first LEED Gold luxury condo buildings outside of the city of Chicago, having attained the rare status through the use of innovative products and construction practices. Built from lot line to lot line, Maple Place is a byproduct of having worked closely with the local municipality throughout the planned development process. Altierra took the extraordinary measure of re-building the steel structure of an adjacent retail business’ roof to enable it to withstand additional snow load created by the new construction—all while the business continued operations. In addition, a strong design flourish on the building’s east side comes in the form of a strikingly attractive mosaic that tapped into the skills of local artists.

Garden Grove New Townhome Development

A distinctive feature of this three-story, 12-townhome development is the creation of a steel structure deck built off each unit’s kitchen and extending over the driveway. Accommodating the developer's wish to not relegate homeowners to standard rooftop decks, Altierra worked with the developer to create these unique outdoor spaces. This $5 million project encompasses 29,000 square feet and features a transitional design.

SoHo New Condominiums and Townhomes

An urban infill, transit-oriented development in a near western suburb of Chicago, SoHo derives its name from its location at the intersection of South Boulevard and Home Avenue. It rose up from a site where multiple buildings were razed to make way for this four-story mixed-use project. Consisting of 17 four-story townhomes, 12 condos and a commercial first-floor space occupied by a real estate office, SoHo is situated next to CTA and Metra rail lines. That proximity offers easy access to Chicago-and raised the need for sound attenuation that Altierra provided. The build-out of 65,000 square feet of space is a combination of contemporary and traditional design. The $14 million project included Altierra shepherding the construction of a private lane, coordinating that process with the Illinois Department of Transportation and local and regional officials.

Clarence Square New Townhomes

Situated on a site formerly occupied by a furniture store and an awning factory, this 18-unit, 52,000-square foot project employs transitional design. The $8 million urban infill development required intensive coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation because of its location along Roosevelt Road, a state route. Altierra performed on-site asbestos remediation of the building before tearing it down. Also, bricks were up-cycled after demolition, along with large timbers and other material. In addition, Altierra built out and staffed a sales center during the preconstruction and construction phases to create an inviting and convenient setting for buyers to customize their units.

Mayfair Building High-End Renovation

This prestigious residential building on Chicago's East Lake Shore Drive was the site of an ultra-high-end $2 million, 7,000 square foot luxury renovation with structural work. Coming about a dozen years after a prior gut renovation, the work featured high-end wood, the reconfiguration of full baths and kitchens that included fully customed cabinets, and a $250,000 "smart home" automation component that included the installation of computer servers. Because of its stellar service, Altierra is a preferred vendor and contractor for Mayfair Building and its unit owners, as well as for several other prestigious residential buildings in Chicago.

The Residences at Ashland New Condominiums

This high-end five-story custom condo building transformed a vacant lot in downtown La Grange. Altierra employed a traditional design with a decidedly untraditional challenge: how to synthesize the preferences of several architects and designers who represented buyers from one unit to the next. The 18 units ranged from 2,800 square feet to 4,200 square feet.

Douglas, Michigan, Custom Home Construction

This craftsman style 4,400 square foot custom home has exceptional meticulous details. Featuring a stained glass front door, french doors opening to the den, a custom staircase, cabinetry and tiled fireplaces, the elaborate craftsmanship is on display in every room. 

Homescape Commercial Showroom and Meeting Space

Formerly home to a restaurant, this 4,500-square-foot kitchen and bath showroom and loft-style meeting space took shape through a total gut job. Providing a showcase for categories ranging from cabinets and tiles to plumbing and light fixtures, this multiple commercial build-out sits along a bustling state route in Chicago's near western suburbs. A complete facade restoration provides an essential aesthetic on this project.

Fair Oaks Kitchen Remodel

This project was a complete gut renovation that included a new kitchen, first floor bathroom, mud room and custom patio door. The work included the removal of a wall in order to create an open floor plan with the dining room and added a master suite.
